I can't believe that 200 years ago this place was filled with zombies

I arrived in Brest in September 1998 as a student at UBO and spent 4 wonderful years in this beautiful coastal city. The people were very courteous and very welcoming unlike the weather which was not very pleasant because it rained all the time. On the other hand, it never snowed during my stay in Brest except for one day. It was December 1999. I remember, we were taking photos to memorize this rare moment. There were also major storms during the same period. When we had free time, we met with friends in a café called Chez Le Marco, rue de Siam, opposite the central post office. Plus there was a very nice waiter whose name I don't remember but he had a big scar on his philtrum. Also, we often went out on Saturday evenings to nightclubs to forget the long nights of the Breton winters. We often went to Tritons, Stendhal or La Chamade to party with friends. In short, Brest is always in my heart. I am nostalgic for this magnificent city even after 22 years since I left it. Brest is definitely my Proust madeleine. Opps! I almost forgot the Celtic cinema at the Jean Jaurés where I had some good movie times.

I live in Denbigh and it’s such a sightseeing place. The only downside is everything in Denbigh (shops clubs etc) are all closing. We’ve not long lost the council offices too.

Let’s get this straight , Leighton Buzzard is a dump ! Full of inbreds ! As I have been told so many times. Not a nice place at all . Cars getting stolen every day and night . Inconsiderate idiots that have never been anywhere else ,deluded and definitely rude. ! So in a nutshell,avoid Leighton Buzzard like the plague.

I miss the town how it used to be 80s 90s early 00s. Used to love going to woolworths to get the newest cds, posters, they had brill Xmas Dec's. Their pic n mix was amazing! & loved getting a tiny can of pop from there. Then I'd go over to the book Inn to buy a couple of books (a few times I would pay for a book weekly), I'd get my new pencil case & favourite pens for school from there. Then over to the really small sports shop at the top of the spiral ramp to get a footy top (had to save up for ages for one), then further down have a look around blockbuster every other Friday to pick a video out. Then back down to the best news agents ever!, who stocked every single magazine you could wish for, I'd get a buffy magazine , some wresting mags & some pop mags depending on which ones had the best posters or stickers. Then to the weigh & save to get some Highland Toffee. Didn't get much pocket money but it seemed to stretch quite far if I saved it for a few weeks & used to do a paper round every morning before school got paid a fiver a week for that, I felt rich!. It was so much fun back then, I miss it alot. Thankyou for sharing these amazing pics in a video, nice to look back and to forget how much it sucks to be an adult in this day and age 😅 love it!
